Calicut – Vythiri – Kannur – Bekal – Mangalore – Calicut (Duration: 7 Days)

Day 01: Calicutkolikudu

Arrive at Calicut airport and transfer to your hotel. Later visit Kozhikode Beach to view the sunset, if weather permits. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Vythiri

Depart after breakfast. Check out from the hotel and proceed for local sightseeing of Calicut, otherwise known as Kozhikode – once the capital of the powerful Zamorins and a prominent trade and commerce centre. Visit the Pazhassiraja Museum and Art Gallery. Also visit the SM street – famous for Sweet Meat. Continue the tour to Vythiri – situated 1300m above sea level. Lofty peaks, gurgling streams and luxuriant forests add magic to the journey up the winding roads to this hill station. On arrival, check in at your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03: Vythiri

Morning depart for jungle tour and walk through coffee, tea, cardamom, pepper and rubber plantations. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Kannur

Depart after breakfast for Kanuur and on arrival, check in at your hotel. Kannur is a town of great historical importance and was the capital of the North Kolathiri Rajas for many centuries. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Bekalkannur

Depart after breakfast; proceed for local sightseeing of Kannur. St. Angelo Fort built by the first Portuguese Viceroy in 1505 is a landmark of Kannur. Later British rebuilt the fort and made it their most important military station in Malabar. Also visit Parassinikadavu Snake Park. The Park has three snake pits and 15 glass cases for the snakes and two big glass houses for King Cobras. En route visit Ezhimala, which is at a height of 885 feet with a conspicuous isolated cluster of hills.
Arrive at Bekal and check in at your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 06: Bekal

Depart after breakfast for local city tour visiting 300 years old Bekal Fort – one of the largest and best preserved forts in Kerala. This imposing circular structure of laterite rises 130 ft. above sea level and stands on a 35-acre headland that runs into the Arabian Sea. Also visit the Kappil Beach, which offers a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. Later in the evening witness the Theyyam, the oldest ritualistic temple art form in India and one of the most spectacular in terms of artistry and symbolism. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Bekal – Mangalore

Depart in time to Mangalore airport to connect onto your flight for your onward journey.
